Bob Cox to lead Bristol Bay Industrial Fuels

Anchorage, Alaska – Bristol Bay Industrial, LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Cox as president and chief executive officer of its newly formed member company, Bristol Bay Industrial Fuels, effective May 30, 2017.

Cox is a 22 year veteran of the downstream fuel industry, having held senior management positions at Crowley Fuels and Petro Marine Services. In his new role, Cox will have executive oversight of BBI member companies, Bristol Alliance Fuels and PetroCard, and will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to grow BBI’s fuels sales and distribution.

“Bob is a well-known leader in the fuels sales and distribution industry. His appointment will be vital in growing and positioning our downstream distribution companies for future success,” said Mark D. Nelson, president and chief executive officer of Bristol Bay Industrial, LLC.

Cox came to Alaska from San Francisco in 1991 after a 14 year career with the Southern Pacific Railroad to join the Alaska Railroad as vice president, operations. He holds a Master of Science in Transportation Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech. Cox serves on the boards of the Alaska Chamber of Commerce and Commonwealth North, and is a member of the Anchorage East Rotary Club.
