Mark D. Nelson
President and Chief Executive Officer
As president and CEO, Mark drives the strategic vision and operations of BBI and its member companies. Since its founding, Mark has lead BBI’s focus on innovation and solutions, and has overseen significant growth in both core and new market segments.
Preceding his appointment to BBI, Mark served as senior vice president, oil and gas at Quanta Services, a Fortune 500 company operating in the electric power and oil and gas industries. He also served as chief operating officer at ASRC Energy Services, an Alaska-based oil and gas services provider.
Prior to relocating to Alaska, Mark practiced law in Washington D.C., serving as Deputy Chief Counsel for the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. He also represented Fortune 500 companies, hedge funds, and private equity firms with an emphasis on crisis management, litigation and investigations, and corporate restructuring.
Mark received a Juris Doctor from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama.
